Threadlocker 1294
GENERAL INFORMATION: SUR-LOK anaerobic
adhesive/sealants are a specialized series of single component, solvent free
compounds that are individually formulated for locking, sealing, retaining and
bonding metal parts and assemblies.
Stable in the presence of air, these products cure when placed between two
mating metal parts, forming a resilient, vibration-proof, polymer shim.
SUR-LOK adhesive/sealants provide the user with additional performance
characteristics, including resistance to corrosion or galvanic attack, as well
as solvent resistance; while allowing disassembly with normal tools.
| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: SUR-LOK
1294 Penetrating grade was developed as a low viscosity
anaerobic sealant designed especially for post applied threadlocking.
The low viscosity or thickness allows this product to wick into set
screws as well as to penetrate porosities and cracks. The low surface
tension assists the capillary action, filling voids as large as .003
inches between fine thread assemblies or weld porosity. SUR-LOK will
cure in 2 hours or even faster if applied to hot parts up to 200°F.
Excess product can then be wiped away with solvent. |
