Threadlocker 1243
GENERAL INFORMATION: SUR-LOK anaerobic
adhesive/sealants are a specialized series of single component, solvent free
compounds that are individually formulated for locking, sealing, retaining and
bonding metal parts and assemblies.
Stable in the presence of air, these products cure when placed between two
mating metal parts, forming a resilient, vibration-proof, polymer shim.
SUR-LOK adhesive/sealants provide the user with additional performance
characteristics, including resistance to corrosion or galvanic attack, as well
as solvent resistance; while allowing disassembly with normal tools.
| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: SUR-LOK
1243 Threadlocker grade is thixotropic and was
developed to provide predictable assembly lubricity and prevent
migration of product prior to assembly. Use of this product results in
the same torque tension relationship that would result from
as-received fasteners. This product satisfies over 75 percent of
applications requirements by providing a range of strengths from
adjustable to removable or permanent depending upon the thread size
and number or contact area. Selection of this product thickness
assures sealing parts as well as the most reproducible threadlocking
strength possible. |
