Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Fire can produce dense smoke containing hazardous products of combustion (see Section V), which may be a hazard to health. Self contained breathing apparatus and procedures for fighting chemical fires should be employed.  Water may be used to keep fire exposed containers cool until fire is out.  Never use welding or cutting torch on container, because product can ignite.  

V. REACTIVITY DATA:
Stable when the instructions for Safe Handling and Use listed in Section VII are observed. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents and acids. . Hazardous decomposition may produce carbon monoxide and/or carbon dioxide. 

VI. HEALTH HAZARD DATA:
Possible routes of entry include skin, inhalation,  and ingestion. 

This product is not included on any list for carcinogenicity.

Symptoms of prolonged skin contact include reddened or dry skin, and possibly dermatitis in sensitive individuals or those with a history of skin disorders  Eye contact may cause pain or slight temporary irritation with slight temporary corneal injury.  Vapors may cause eye irritation.  Excessive breathing of vapors may cause nasal and respiratory irritation, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache, and possibly unconsciousness. .

Emergency first aid procedures for skin contact include removal of any contaminated clothing and washing the skin thoroughly with soap and water. For eye contact, flush with water or normal saline for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, consult a physician. In the event of ingestion, keep calm, drink two glasses of water, do not induce vomiting. Consult a physician. In the event of excessive inhalation, remove to fresh air, if breathing is difficult, administer Oxygen, if stopped, give artificial respiration and consult a physician.

VII. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE:
Health hazard rating is 2,  hazardous. Fire hazard is 4, Flash point below 73° F. Reactivity rating is 0, stable.

Provide adequate ventilation in area of usage, do not use in poorly ventilated or confined spaces.  When possible this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general ventilation. Avoid unnecessary skin and eye contact and always wash hands after use. Gloves should be used by persons with known skin sensitivities.  Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Store in original container in cool ( 50°F -80°F) dark area for prolonged shelf life.  Do not store or use near food.

In the event of small spills, material may be wiped up and area cleaned with soap and water. For larger spills, soak up spill with earth, sand, or absorbent product. Quickly ventilate area especially low places where heavy vapors can collect and remove any open flames to prevent decomposition products from forming. Dispose in accordance with State, Federal, and Local anti-pollution and waste disposal regulations. Large quantities of this product should not be allowed to enter drains or water lines or be deposited where it can affect ground or surface waters.

Transport: Flammable liquid.

Other: Respiratory protection is not normally necessary unless product is used in enclosed area of poor ventilation or individual has a history of chronic respiratory disease. Local exhaust is recommended. Protective gloves are recommended for individuals with known skin sensitivities. Always wash hands thoroughly after use.
